The Inner Room Certification Program
The Inner Room (TIR) Certification is designed for therapists (ASW, AMFT, LMFT, LCSW) seeking to deepen their skills by accessing clients’ innate inner wisdom. The TIR model is grounded in the principle that all clients have an inherent drive toward homeostasis and healing, with the body holding the key to its own restoration.
Like animals instinctively discharging stress and returning to balance after being threatened, humans also have the ability to return to a state of balance but run into various conscious barriers blocking this process. TIR involves client-led methods such as free association, IFS, Gestalt, Inner-Child work, and visualization, with therapists providing non-directive, facilitative support to prioritize the client’s innate process
Event Details:
• Date: August 1st, 2026
• Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Pacific Coast Time)
• Format: Live Interactive Synchronous Online Training (Hosted on Zoom)
• CE Units: 7 Credits (Approved for ASW and LCSW)
• Target Audience: ASW and LCSW practicing individual psychotherapy.
About The Inner Room Certification Program
The TIR Certification is designed for therapists seeking to enrich their therapeutic approach through utilizing a client’s inner wisdom. The TIR model is grounded in the following
foundational beliefs:
• The human mind and body possess an innate drive toward homeostasis and healing.
• Each client holds, often subconsciously, the internal wisdom necessary for their own healing process.
• Therapeutic progress involves the removal of conscious barriers that inhibit access to this internal healing process.
• The exercise is client-led through free association and visualization, with the therapist providing facilitative support through strategic questioning.
• Therapeutic guidance is non-directive; the therapist follows the client’s lead, ensuring that the client’s inner experience remains at the forefront.
Learning Objectives
I. Theoretical Foundations & Clinical Lineage
• Associate the core principles of Gestalt (here-and-now awareness), IFS (multiplicity of self), and Inner-Child work with their specific roles in facilitating the TIR healing cycle.
• Analyze the importance of Free Association (Freud) and Somatic Foundations (Levine/Van der Kolk) in allowing a client to bypass the analytical conscious mind.
II. The Practitioner Role & Subconscious Wisdom
• Distinguish between “self-guided navigation” and the TIR “facilitative conduit” stance by identifying three behaviors that protect the client’s inherent healing capacity.
• Demonstrate “Linguistic Neutrality” by translating leading questions into expansive, open-ended prompts that maintain the subconscious “Depth Gap.”
III. Internal Supervision & Procedural Integrity
• Describe a personal “bracketing” process used to discriminate between clinical
intuition and a practitioner’s agenda during a simulated session.
• Organize a 60-minute session timeline that matches the mandatory 20-minute
minimum immersion and the 10-minute integration buffer for client safety.

Clinical Director of Mind-Body Integrative Therapy
With over 20 years of lived experience navigating PTSD and five years specializing in trauma-informed care, Sarah-Brooke developed the Inner Room method to help individuals reconnect with their innate healing capacity.
This method eases the therapist’s role by shifting from directive to facilitative, guiding clients to gently remove conscious barriers and access their own subconscious healing intelligence in a safe, embodied way.
